Adult Education

Description
The Adult Education Committee coordinates all adult education programs, trips, & other activities to further the Jewish Education of our Adult Members. The committee’s goal is to encourage the desire for study and learning in our Temple members and to provide relevant, engaging, dynamic opportunities for adult learners of all ages to participate in. The Committee is always open to new ideas for adult educational programming from the membership.

Caring Committee

Description
The Caring Committee is to support temple members by preparing meals, phone calls, delivering care packages and providing general assistance.
Meeting
The Committee does not formally meet but welcomes anyone who is willing to help prepare an occasional meal or make phone calls.
Description
The Family Club is a social club for families to gather and build relationships within our temple community.  Club offers activities for entire family and parent only events.
Meeting
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis.
 

Finance Committee

Description
The Finance Committee provides oversight, guidance, planning to maintain the fiscal health of the synagogue. Also responsible for creating the annual budgets.

Housing

Description
The Housing Committee oversees the maintenance of the congregations building and grounds, creating appropriate policies for facilities usage, identifying needs, and providing solutions.

Marketing Committee

Description
The marketing committee oversees all social media such as facebook. They also oversee all printed materials such as brochures and flyers. Publicity such as press releases fall under this committee as well.

Membership – Awareness (Public Relations)

Description

The Awareness Committee concerns itself with all aspects of creating awareness of TBA in the local community leading to membership inquiries handled by the recruitment committee.

The Committee meets periodically and is especially busy during the summer, in advance of the High Holy Days.

 

Membership – Recruitment

Description
The Membership Committee concerns itself with all aspects of membership recruitment and retention, including forwarding applications to Temple leadership for review, answering questions from prospective congregants, and preparing publicity materials for the congregation.

Membership – Integration in Temple Life

This committee welcomes new members, plans the new member orientation in the fall and the new member brunch in the Spring

Religious School

Description
The Religious School Committee, working closely with the Education Director and the Rabbi, oversees curriculum and policy decisions for the congregation’s Religious and Hebrew School Programs. Discuss and implement fundraisers, handle grade dinners, and assists in the hiring of new teachers as needed.

Ritual Committee

Description
The Ritual Committee concerns itself with all aspects of religious life in the congregation including the nature of our worship experiences, planning for holy day observances, and determining what will be the minhag–the religious customs–of the congregation. The Committee recommends practices and policies to encourage participation in, enhance, and expand the religious and spiritual life of the congregation.

Social Action Committee

Description
The Social Action Committee is committed to education, advocacy, and action in response to Judaism’s mandate that we be God’s partners in the mitzvah of tikkun olam–healing a blemished world. The Committee concerns itself with issues on the local, national, and global levels.

Security

The Security Committee works with the police and local authorities to provide security for the Temple building and at Temple events.
